Congratulations to all staff and students involved in this week’s Winter Strings Festival which was a wonderful showcase of the talent of our string players from Kindergarten to Year 12. It was a joy to see the enthusiasm from each performer and I was very proud of the standard of each item presented. Concerts such as this require an enormous effort behind the scenes in rehearsal, repertoire selection, individual practice and logistical preparation and I thank all the staff and the girls for working so hard to bring us such an outstanding result.
This afternoon we have enjoyed House Fundraising – a 2 hour cross-age extravaganza organised by the Senior School House Captains and other House Leaders to raise funds and awareness for 3 charities selected by them for support this year. The senior girls put together many enjoyable and educational experiences for the peers to participate in and also organised food stalls and special events to generate money and a great carnival atmosphere. We are fortunate to have such dedicated and committed student leaders who have given up many hours to create this festive afternoon for three deserving causes.
Hindley and Moorhouse – Rainforest Rescue
Booth and Lees – Bee the Cure
Clarke and Perry – Epilepsy Action Australia
