We were delighted to have Christine Nixon speak at our latest Parent Forum. Although the forum was open to all members of the School Community, Christine spoke specifically to the male attendees about the vital role they play in shaping the world for our girls.
Christine Nixon rose to the top in the male-dominated field of policing. She attained the rank of Assistant Commissioner with the NSW Police and was appointed Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police in 2001. She was the first woman to become a police commissioner in Australia. From March 2009, she chaired the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority, an authority created to rebuild communities following Victoria's Black Saturday Bushfires in February 2009.
Her attendance at our forum was extremely valuable and generated much discussion.
