Three students at Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar School Essendon were rewarded for their talent and dedication at the Victorian Junior Track and Field Championships held at Lakeside Stadium last weekend.

Year 9 student Maddison Caulfield won gold in the Under 16 800 metre event. Leteitia Presser Year 8, was victorious in the Under 14 800 metres and Year 7 student Molly Gallagher raced above her age group to win the gruelling Under 15 2000 metre steeplechase.

In Year 6 during 2013, Molly represented her school to medal in Regional and State Cross Country and qualified for the National Championships.

All girls are excited about being part of Lowther’s Team for 2014 and defending their 2013 Girls’ Sport Victoria title.

Director of Sport at Lowther Hall, Mrs Vicki Hoban said, “The results that were achieved by Lowther Hall girls, in particular three State Championships, are fantastic.”

“We congratulate all girls and are very proud of their achievements”, Ms Hoban said.
