Junior School Production, Twilight Festival and Vale Fred Hyde: Congratulations to the cast and crew of the Junior School Production, The Little Mermaid, who thrilled us with their colourful and polished performances last weekend.

After months of rehearsals and preparation our Years 4 to 6 students performed in the Junior School production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid over the weekend! Thanks to staff and parents who gave their time so generously to ensure its success, and well done, girls!

On Saturday 5 November, after months of rehearsals and preparation, our Years 4 to 6 students will perform in our Junior School Production of The Little Mermaid. For some girls, it will be their first time performing on stage on front of a real audience and we wish them, and indeed all the girls, well as they enjoy this foray into show business!

Our Lowther Hip Hop Team ‘12th Edition’ have won their division at the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation National Championships in Sydney on the weekend. As their score was the highest of any hip hop team competing, they are also given the title ‘Grand Champions’. Congratulations, girls!

We are very proud of Year 3 student Gisele who has raised almost $2800 recently for the JDRF One Walk (the world’s biggest type 1 diabetes fundraising event).

Our Year 12 girls finished their final day at Lowther Hall on Wednesday with the annual tradition of throwing their hats from the Mansion balcony! We wish all Year 12 girls the very best for their studies as they enter into their final exam period. Congratulations, and thank you girls, for your contribution and service to the School.

This week we bid our final farewell to the Class of 2016. We have recognised them at formal assemblies, watched them toss their hats off the Mansion and been moved at their Valedictory service yesterday afternoon as they left the Cultural Centre symbolically carrying their light out into the world, ready to shine.
