Thank you to everyone who has helped to make Term 2 such a wonderful term! Teachers, girls, student leaders and parents have all played a part in bringing enthusiasm, a willingness to get involved and a generosity of spirit to Lowther Hall over the last 10 weeks. I particularly want to thank the staff who have given up time with their own families to accompany students on camps and trips. These experiences are part of the rich life of a student at Lowther Hall, but they come at a cost for staff, who always throw themselves into the task with high levels of energy and commitment. I thank the staff too, for their careful planning, passionate delivery, thoughtful follow up and detailed feedback which they have offered to students throughout the term. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful team.
I also want to acknowledge the many parents who have contributed to making this term such a success. We are fortunate at Lowther Hall to have a vibrant parent body who are incredibly supportive of the School. Specifically this semester we have had parents assist in Blinkbonnie House in PMP, Friends of Rowing who have transported boats and provided food for our rowing crews, Friends of Music who have supported us at concerts, parents who have given up hours of time to create costumes and help with make-up in the Senior School Production, Year Level Representatives who have coordinated parent get-togethers, parents who have served on the organising committee of the Golf Day and the PFA Tennis Tournament, our Book Club Coordinators who have organised lively discussions of novels, the dedicated group who have braved all weather conditions in support of the Walking School Bus, our parents who serve on the PFA Committee and also on the School Board and Board Sub-Committees and the various parents who have volunteered to open their homes as host families. Thank you to each one of you for your willingness to be involved and to make such a valuable contribution to our School. Finally, thank you to our girls for another highly productive and enjoyable term at Lowther Hall. From Kindergarten to Year 12 our students have challenged themselves, accepted guidance, helped others, taken up opportunities, given of their best and kept smiling! I wish all families a safe and restful break and I look forward to seeing everyone at the start of Term 3.Posted on by Elisabeth Rhodes
