I am enjoying catching up with families at Learning Conferences as they occur across the School in these first few weeks of term. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity for parents and teachers to get to know the girls better as learners and I hope you are finding them to be productive. We are fortunate to have staff at Lowther Hall who genuinely enjoy teaching the girls and who are highly invested in their progress – I am sure that this was evident to you in your conversations. Taking up the opportunity to come and meet with a teacher, monitoring your daughter’s progress and her homework via the student planner, facilitating daily reading and ensuring homework time is distraction free, are just some of the many ways that we appreciate your support as parents. Thank you!
I am delighted that Blinkbonnie House is featuring in the Independent Schools’ Victoria Arts Festival Celebration of Learning at Federation Square over the weekend. Lowther Hall is also hosting delegates from across the State on Saturday as they come together for a conference on Early Years education and the Reggio Emilia approach. It will be a source of great pride to have other educators visit our wonderful facilities and see the work that is being done at our school.Posted on by Elisabeth Rhodes
