It was wonderful to celebrate International Women’s Day last week in a variety of ways. Lowther Hall was well represented at the Moonee Valley International Women’s Day Breakfast where Year 12 student, Mia, was one of the invited keynote speakers. The Senior School girls had a special assembly which presented different views on the relevance of International Women’s Day and the role of women (and men) in “pressing for progress” (the theme of the Day this year).
I was delighted to be able to join with 180 members of the School Community for the second annual Lowther Women Lunch where past and present students, staff, parents, board members, donors and friends of the School enjoyed a two course meal and a wonderful presentation by a panel of Lowther Women addressing the theme of Women’s Health. Thank you to all who attended – it is gratifying to reflect on the raft of support for our girls with the wonderful women who remain connected to our community.Posted on by Elisabeth Rhodes
