We have introduced a face mask option as part of our school uniform. From August 16, girls aged 12 years and over may wear either a disposable white or blue mask, or the fabric Lowther Hall mask. It is optional for girls under 12.
We want to support our students in their transition to wearing face masks. This includes ensuring that they are wearing masks made to comply with Department of Health recommendations, as well as reducing any anxiety for our families in knowing where to source high quality and safe face masks.
The Lowther Hall masks are of single colour, and made to comply with the Department of Health recommendations. They have 3 layers comprised of water repellent ply microfibre, cotton and poly cotton. They are machine washable.
At Lowther Hall we always seek to ensure that the items in the school wardrobe are fit for purpose, comfortable and provide consistency in the way they are worn. Face masks are no exception. We are delighted to have received much positive feedback from our school community in regards to the new Lowther Hall face mask, with almost all families in our Senior School taking up the opportunity for purchase within the first 24 hours of availability.
