Recently, we co-convened an International Coalition of Girls’ Schools symposium on educating girls at Melbourne Girls Grammar. The day brought together 400 delegates from around the world, providing an opportunity to come together with colleagues and hear from experts around themes such as inclusion, artificial intelligence, and reconciliation in the context of education for girls. In particular, it was remarkable to see our School Captain, Sonia, and Deputy School Captain, Hala, facilitate an hour-long panel with four eminent presenters. We are also looking forward to following up on the connection made with keynote speaker and panellist, Yolngu Elder Djapirri Mununggirritj, who visited from North East Arnhem Land and whose messages about deep listening and connecting to Country made quite an impact.
