Our Year 9 students are currently on fieldtrips in either Vietnam or Central Australia as part of their ‘Our Place’ learning curriculum.
‘Our Place’ is a compulsory subject in Year 9 that allows students to consolidate and understand ideas and learnings in their Humanities units of study. They engage in many activities throughout the two week fieldtrip that allow them to examine geographic and historical issues associated with (the regions of) Vietnam or Central Australia.
Girls in Central Australia have travelled through Mildura, visited Uluru and then travelled through to the Umoona Opal Mine in Coober Pedy, whilst in Vietnam our students have helped work on fields in Hoi An, engaged in a Koto cooking class and travelled by boat along the Mekong Delta.
We look forward to hearing more about their travels throughout the week!
