We recently celebrated 100 Days of Prep! As part of the celebration, our Prep girls decided that they would share '100 acts of kindness'. They wrote 100 cards to hand out to students and staff today, to tell them how terrific they are!

It has been an amazing week and a half! The Fundraising afternoon last Friday was a great success and the girls had a ball, while raising money for some very worthwhile causes. Thank you to the Prefects for their organisation of this event and to all the staff who supported it. In addition, we have had visitors to the Mansion for Open House Melbourne, Raymond House and Blinkbonnie House Learning Conferences, the Principal’s Soiree, the Lowther Hall Society Lunch, the Winter Strings Festival and all the other regular things that go on: all things that make Lowther Hall the wonderful place it is!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Careers Expo last week! Hundreds of students and their families were in attendance to gather information and inspiration from over 60 Old Grammarians, staff and tertiary representatives about career pathways and planning.

Congratulations to our senior Lowther dance teams who competed recently at the AASCF Winterfest Championships! The Hip Hop Team....

Our Mansion will be open to the public this weekend for 'Open House Melbourne'. Built in 1890, the Mansion (formerly Earlsbrae Hall) remains one of the finest examples of documented works of architects Lawson and Grey.

Did you know? Any Years 11 or 12 student within the Moonee Valley region can study a Certificate II in Dance at Lowther Hall. There is a buzz of excitement at Lowther Hall about our upcoming Careers Expo! The event is open to our Years 9-12 girls and their families, and will provide a 'Tertiary Trades Hall' as well as almost 50 Old Grammarians attending to speak on 16 different Career Interest Panels. Students in Years 9-12 and their families can book online as per the Bulletin instructions.

It was wonderful to welcome everyone back to school on Wednesday. As usual we commenced the term with an assembly for all students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and Ms Tracy Healy (Deputy Principal) and I were proud to talk to the girls about the ways in which we had shared the School’s world class leadership and cross-age programs with a global audience during our recent trip to America.

It is always a pleasure to see Lowther girls embrace every day with enthusiasm, grace and spirit. Everybody began the term today by gathering for a whole-school assembly, that focussed on all of the cross-age connections Lowther girls make with one another. We look forward to a fantastic term ahead with you!

Thank you to everyone who has helped to make Term 2 such a success. Teachers, girls, student leaders and parents have all played a part in bringing enthusiasm, a willingness to get involved and a generosity of spirit to Lowther Hall over the last 10 weeks.
